The firm has been founded by Shreya Mundhra, who is a practising lawyer, a Chartered Accountant as well as Company Secretary. Prior to her independent practice at SM Legal, Shreya has been associated with leading law firms in India. She has almost a decade of post qualification experience in the field of Indirect tax laws and Foreign trade laws and is proficient in tax litigation as well as tax optimization and strategy.

Practice Areas
Our specialized area of practice includes Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) laws, Excise, Service tax, Sales tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Foreign Trade Policy, and other international trade and regulatory laws such as Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). We also deal with Income tax and Corporate Tax matters, including Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act and Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act.

Shreya Mundhra is an Advocate, Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, and is currently pursuing her independent practice at SM Legal. She is working with a team of professionals in Kolkata, Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
She has almost a decade of post qualification experience in the field of Indirect tax laws and Foreign trade laws, both as an advisor and litigator. Previously, she has been associated with leading law firms in India.
